I have always been fascinated by fandom and the lengths that hardcore fans will go to support, promote, and emulate that whatever or whomever it is that they happen to adore. Last week, I had the opportunity to photograph KISS and Motley Crue on their Bay Area tour stop at the Sleep Train Pavillion in Concord. While I was exited to see both bands, whom I’d never seen, my real motivation was to make some portraits of die-hard KISS fans, otherwise known as The KISS Army. Here they are, along with some Crue heads and a Jesus fan as well. You can see my photos from the show here.
KISS/Crue fans, If I photographed you (not all photos included here) and you’d like a hi-res image, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll get one sent to you. Thanks!
